Trump Announces Oil Blockade, Says World Now Depends on US
President Trump said the world is now relying on the US for oil because of what Iran has done to the Strait of Hormuz. "Tomorrow at 10 o'clock, we're going to put on a blockade," Trump announced. "Other nations are also working hard to cooperate to ensure that Iran cannot sell oil, and that will work out very well!"
He noted that many ships are now heading to the US, fueling up, and leaving with the oil—so there's no longer a need to go through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump emphasized that thanks to the "Drill, baby, drill" campaign, US oil reserves have grown so large that they now exceed the combined reserves of Russia and Saudi Arabia. "What's happening now is that ships are coming, filling up, and no longer needing to cross the Strait of Hormuz!" he said.
