US Agrees to Unfreeze Iranian Assets in Qatar and Other Foreign Banks, Sources Say
The US has agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets held in Qatar and other foreign banks, according to senior Iranian sources. Iran sees the move as a test of good faith and a sign of commitment to a lasting peace deal. The asset release, they added, is also "directly linked to ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz" before any permanent peace agreement is reached.
