Meta Pauses AI Startup Partnership After Mercor Data Breach
Meta has hit pause on its partnership with AI startup Mercor following a recent data breach, according to a person familiar with the matter. The company is also investigating the incident.

Mercor, which was valued at $10 billion in a funding round last October, works with big tech firms like Meta to train AI models with the help of thousands of contractors and experts. Wired first reported on Friday that Meta had suspended all cooperation with the company. Meta declined to comment. Mercor confirmed it experienced a security breach.
