World Data Organization Launches in Beijing, Becomes First Global Data Governance Body
The World Data Organization just held its first general assembly in Beijing. Members reviewed and approved the organization's charter, then elected the inaugural board of directors and supervisors.

The newly elected board quickly got to work, holding its first meeting to pick leadership and approve key rules and regulations. That marks the completion of the organization's setup—it's now officially up and running.
The WDO is the first professional international organization dedicated to data development and governance practices. Its headquarters are in Beijing.
