China Issues Official Security Guidelines for OpenClaw—Isolated Environments, No Admin Rights, No Private Data
OpenClaw is getting official safety instructions. China's National Internet Emergency Response Center and the Cyber Security Association of China released a joint security guide on March 22, offering practical recommendations for users, enterprises, cloud providers, and developers.

For everyday users: don't install OpenClaw on your work machine—use dedicated devices, virtual machines, or containers instead. Keep it isolated. Never run it with admin or root privileges. Don't store or process private data inside OpenClaw. And keep it updated.
For cloud providers: tighten host security, deploy proper protections, and lock down supply chain and data security. The message is clear: convenience doesn't mean compromising safety.
