Elon Musk says the planned update to X's revenue-sharing mechanism has been paused for now.
X Pauses Creator Payout Changes After Backlash
X was planning to roll out a new revenue split model this Thursday, with more weight on local views. But after some pushback, the plan is now on hold.

Creator Déborah voiced her concerns in a post. She pointed out that 43% of her audience is based in the US—and that a lot of other creators are in the same boat. Posting in English, she argued, isn't some kind of scheme. It's just the global language. The new system, she said, would seriously cut into earnings for creators like her. Her ask? For the platform to rethink the decision.
Elon Musk responded pretty quickly. His take? They'll pause the rollout until further review.
