Polymarket is expanding its fee structure to include a wider range of markets and transactions
Polymarket Expands Fee Structure: Finance, Politics, and More to Start Charging March 30
Polymarket is broadening its fee net. Starting March 30, 2026, the platform will add Finance, Politics, Economics, Culture, and Weather markets to its taker fee list—on top of existing Crypto and Sports categories. The new dynamic fee formula peaks near 50% probability. Crypto markets top out around 1.80%, while Finance, Politics, and Tech hit about 1.00%.

Geopolitical and global event markets remain fee-free for now. The fees will fund Maker Rebates to boost liquidity. Charges are in USDC: buyers pay in shares, sellers in USDC. A new chapter for prediction market monetization.
