Iran's Foreign Minister says the country is seeking a complete end to the war, not just a tempo
Iran Rejects Temporary Ceasefire—Demands Full End to War, Compensation, and Security Guarantees
Iran is drawing a hard line. Foreign Minister Araghchi told Kyodo News that Tehran wants a complete, lasting end to the war—not a temporary pause. He called the U.S. and Israeli attacks illegal aggression and urged the world to speak out. While some countries are pushing for a ceasefire, Iran is only interested in a solution that ends the conflict for good. That means no more attacks on Iran, plus compensation for damages. Araghchi also said he doesn't think the U.S. is ready to negotiate. On a separate note, he signaled willingness to let Japan-affiliated ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz after talks with Tokyo. The message: no half measures.
