AI Agents Run on Two Chains: Base and Solana Dominate 97% of Agent-to-Agent Payments

AI agents have a clear favorite when it comes to paying each other. According to Lisk researcher Leon Waidmann, Base and Solana are handling nearly all agent-to-agent transactions—97% of them, to be exact. Base takes the lead with 59% (70.9 million txs), while Solana follows at 38% (45.3 million). Everyone else? Just 3% combined (3.9 million). The two-chain era of agent commerce is already here.
