Amazon Hits Euro Bond Market for First Time With €10B AI-Fueled Mega-Deal
Amazon just made history in Europe—twice. The tech giant tapped the euro bond market for the first time ever, raising €10 billion through an eight-part deal with maturities stretching from 2 to 38 years. It's the region's first eight-part bond sale. And it comes hot on the heels of a $37 billion, 11-part dollar bond offering earlier this week.

Together, these could be some of the biggest corporate bond deals ever. They're also the latest signal that cloud giants are going all-in on AI. Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, and Microsoft are on track to spend a combined $650 billion on capex in 2026. Amazon alone plans to drop $200 billion on data centers, chips, and gear—more than analysts expected. The question now hanging over the market: when does the AI spending spree start paying off?
