Hyperliquid's Biggest BTC Long Gets Wiped: $10M Liquidated in Wild 24-Hour Flip
Crypto leverage is a cruel mistress. Just ask the whale behind address 0x1bf. According to HyperInsight, this trader—who had become the largest BTC long on Hyperliquid—just got hit hard. As Bitcoin slipped to $70,151, their position got liquidated to the tune of 146 BTC, worth about $10.27 million. That's the biggest single liquidation across the entire market in the last day.

And here's the wild part: less than 24 hours ago, this same address was sitting pretty on a massive short. They closed out a $32.5 million short position at $72,300 last night, pocketing profits. Then, as BTC dropped below $72K, they flipped the script and went long—aggressively. At one point, they were holding a $52 million long with 40x leverage, the biggest BTC bull on the whole platform.
Now? They're licking wounds. They still have a long open—$41.6 million at $71,440, still at 40x. But the next liquidation price is sitting at $69,997. That's just 1.4% away. One more shove and it's goodbye.
From short to long to liquidation in under a day. That's leverage for you.
