X Launches Cashtags on iPhone in US and Canada, Adds Real-Time Financial Data

X has launched Cashtags on iPhone for users in the US and Canada, providing real-time financial data. When users search for or post content with a Cashtag or contract address, X automatically recommends matching stocks or crypto tokens. Tapping on a Cashtag lets users view related posts and price charts without leaving the app.

X also announced a pilot integration with Canadian brokerage Wealthsimple. Canadian users will see a trade button on Cashtags and can complete transactions directly within X. Bier said Cashtags are just the first step, with web, Android, and global launches coming soon.
