Farcaster Says No Token Launch, Clarifies Hypersnap Confusion
Farcaster has made it clear: there is no token launch. The "token discussions" circulating in the market are actually related to Hypersnap, a fork of the Farcaster protocol. The Hypersnap team has been referring to its token as the "Farcaster token," causing confusion among users unfamiliar with the technical details.

Farcaster said this is not a comment on the fork itself. The goal is simply to avoid unnecessary noise from speculation—such as bots, airdrop hunters, and scam accounts—that hurts the overall network experience. To be clear, there is no Farcaster protocol token airdrop.
