Binance to Roll Out Spot Price Range Protection (PRER) on April 14
Binance is introducing a new safety feature. Starting April 14th, 2026, the exchange will roll out Spot Price Range Protection (PRER) to prevent user orders from being filled at abnormal prices during extreme market conditions.
The mechanism allows orders to execute only within a dynamic price range. The goal is to shield the market from sharp price deviations caused by abnormal activity and maintain a fair, orderly trading environment.

Key features: orders with execution prices outside the specified range will be canceled—though filled portions will settle as usual. The system helps protect against rapid, large price swings and ensures fairness during periods of market stress. Binance said the mechanism won't affect everyday trading under normal market prices.
