Coinbase CEO to Tackle Bitcoin Quantum Risk Personally
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is getting personally involved in bitcoin's quantum resistance efforts. He said the industry needs to address the issue sooner rather than later.

Earlier, Coinbase chief security officer Philip Martin noted that quantum computing research is advancing, and the industry needs to speed up its response to potential threats. Post-quantum cryptography is feasible, he said, but still in early days. Rushing it could introduce new risks. The industry also needs to reach consensus on how to handle wallets that don't get migrated in time. Coinbase has already started infrastructure upgrades and research, and is pushing for developer and community collaboration on post-quantum solutions.
