Australian Pension Giant Hostplus Eyes Bitcoin for Member Investment Option—Willing to Wait for Regulatory Nod
One of Australia's largest pension funds is getting serious about crypto. Hostplus, which manages over A$105 billion, is considering adding Bitcoin and other digital assets to its Choiceplus self-investment option. Australia's A$4.5 trillion pension industry has mostly stayed on the sidelines, with AMP becoming the first major fund to buy Bitcoin futures in 2024. Now, they're taking another look—and Bitcoin is back on the table.
