Germany Plans to Quadruple AI Computing Power by 2030—Aims for European Data Hub Status

Germany is going big on data centers. A new government strategy aims to double general-purpose computing power by 2030 and quadruple AI-specific capacity from 2025 levels. The push is driven by exploding demand from AI, cloud services, and digitalization. Digitalization Minister Carsten Wildegger put it bluntly: "Globally, we clearly have a lot of catching up to do."
