Bitcoin traders, pay attention: The current rally is about to hit a key price zone that hasn't
Bitcoin Flirts with Make-or-Break Zone Near $74K After 10% Weekly Rally
Bitcoin's on a tear. The big crypto has ripped about 10% higher this week, pushing past $72,000 and even taking a quick poke above $73,900 on Wednesday, according to CoinDesk. ETF inflows are doing a lot of the heavy lifting here, and it's got people talking about a potential new bull run. But there's a catch: the rally is about to slam into a massive test.
Prices are now creeping up on a zone that's been a major turning point in the market for the last two years. We're talking roughly $73,750 to $74,400. This isn't just some random level—it's where both uptrends and downtrends have ended before. Earlier this year, everyone was looking at it as a potential demand zone where buyers would step in. Spoiler: it didn't hold.
Let's rewind to understand why this zone matters. Back in Q1 2024, the big ETF-driven rally hit a wall right around $73,750. Buyers just ran out of steam, and the price rolled over, eventually sliding all the way to $50,000 over the next few months.

But here's the twist. In early April of last year, the exact same area played the opposite role. It marked the end of a downtrend that had started in February from above $100,000. Selling pressure finally gave out near $74,400, the price turned around, and by October we were looking at new all-time highs above $126,000.
So yeah, this zone has history. When Bitcoin started sliding earlier this year, a lot of people figured this level would act as a strong support, a place where buyers would step in and catch the fall. Didn't happen. Prices blew through it last month and kept dropping toward $60,000.

Now we're back, and it's crunch time again. If Bitcoin can smash through this zone to the upside, that's a huge deal. It means the momentum is real and buyers have the firepower to push things higher. But if it gets rejected here? That would be a strong sign that the bigger downtrend from October is still very much alive, and the road ahead is gonna be rough.
Bottom line: the next few days are gonna be interesting. Everyone's watching.
